Some people said that Metroid: Other M wasn't very good. Well, I just watched all the cut-scenes edited together in a movie on YouTube and it certainly seems as good as any other Metroid title to me. It also reinforces my long-held belief that Metroid is one of those few game franchises that could very well make for an EXCELLENT feature film, despite the fact that movies based on games usually suck. However, there some that I would consider an exception.
Anyway, enough talk. This movie needs to be made. Make it happen, Nintendo!

Other M, to me, seemed more-or-less like a 3-D rehash of Metroid Fusion, as well as fleshing out a bit of backstory behind Adam Malkovich. The games are similar in a number of ways. This is, by no means, a bad thing. But if you ask me, Nintendo needs to work on an enhanced remake of Metroid 2. 4 shades of green/grey does NOT do it justice.
ReplyDeleteThey did start a color version of 'Return of Samus' for the Game Boy Color years ago but, stopped the project. No one knows why but, I sure would like to see and play it someday... Or, a good remake with updated graphics and sound that are still pretty faithful to the original...
DeleteWell... they showed updated artwork for the Alpha, Gamma, Zeta, and Omega Metroids in Fusion... I was hoping that meant a Remake of Return of Samus was on the horizon... but that was... hell, that was over a DECADE ago.
