He had 542 confirmed Soviet kills with his sniper rifle and at least 200 more with a Submachine gun. All of this happened within the space of about 2 months during the 1939-40 Winter War between the Soviet Union and Finland.
He lived to the age of 96. Heaven wasn't ready for such awesomeness yet. Hell was afraid he'd take over. The Angel of Death wasn't really in a hurry to get him either. Especially after seeing what the man could do with iron sights on a crappy Finnish copy of a Mosin-Nagant.
If there is anyone who deserves to have his own Power Metal tribute from a band like Sabaton, it's definitely Simo.
