What the Bible actually says about Homosexual Behavior

It's not a secret that we Christians don't like anything LGBT-Related. However, despite popular opinion being informed by Leftist Media (and morons calling themselves 'pastors'), we don't hate Homosexual people. It's the behavior that is detestable, not the people.

Also, keep in mind that this blog post is strictly for information purposes. I am not looking to wag the finger at anyone and tell them they're going to Hell. Jesus said that was a no-go. (See Matthew 7:1-5) ALL of us are prone to one sin or another and ALL sins are detestable in God's eyes. It's not a competition. All of them are equally bad.

And they will make even more sense as this post goes on...

That being said, the behavior being put on public display with these Homosexuals is rather disgusting and inappropriate. You wouldn't want to see me breeding with a woman in public. I don't want to see you cornholing your boyfriend at some parade, either. If you're going to live an 'alternate lifestyle', at least keep the seedier parts of it at home. Some things are best kept private.

We'll be discussing what this kind of degeneracy usually signifies as the post goes on,

especially when we start discussing a certain passage from the Letter to the Romans.

Anyway, now that we have the unofficial disclaimer out of the way, let's go over all the different passages from Scripture that informs the Judeo-Christian opinion about Homosexuals. All of these will be from the New American Standard Bible (NASB) because that is the English translation that is easiest to understand for modern audiences. The King James version may sound poetic and beautiful, but its word choices are often too archaic for a 21st century audience. What a shame...

North American Standard Bible

First, we'll look at 3 verses from the Mosaic Law in the Old Testament on this subject. These 3 are direct and very harsh. We'll discover why as this post goes on...

"You shall not sleep with a male as one sleeps with a female; it is an abomination."
- Leviticus 18:22 

"If there is a man who sleeps with a male as those who sleep with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act; they must be put to death. They have brought their own deaths upon themselves." - Leviticus 20:13

"A woman shall not wear a man’s clothing, nor shall a man put on a woman’s clothing; for whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord your God." - Deuteronomy 22:5

Before anyone freaks out, just keep in mind that Death usually was the punishment for any kind of infraction against the Mosaic Law. Ancient societies saw people who refused to contribute to the gene pool as a mortal threat to their civilization. They killed them to make sure their ideas, attitudes & behaviors couldn't spread. Not sure how well that actually worked. You can't remove sin from Human nature just be executing a lawbreaker.

Fortunately, we Christians have a new, different covenant with God through Jesus where souls are saved by grace rather than strict adherence to the Law. Besides, no mortal human being could adhere to all 613 commandments in the Mosaic Law. God specifically set it up that way just to show us Humans that we do actually need him in our lives. 

And now, we move to the New Testament where the reasons why the Mosaic Law banned Homosexuality is explained in great detail. 

"For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of people who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, that is, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, being understood by what has been made, so that they are without excuse. For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their reasonings, and their senseless hearts were darkened. Claiming to be wise, they became fools, and they exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for an image in the form of corruptible mankind, of birds, four-footed animals, and crawling creatures. Therefore God gave them up to vile impurity in the lusts of their hearts, so that their bodies would be dishonored among them. For they exchanged the truth of God for falsehood, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged natural relations for that which is contrary to nature, and likewise the men, too, abandoned natural relations with women and burned in their desire toward one another, males with males committing shameful acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error. And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a depraved mind, to do those things that are not proper, people having been filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, greed, and evil; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, and malice; they are gossips, slanderers, haters of God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, without understanding, untrustworthy, unfeeling, and unmerciful; and although they know the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, they not only do the same, but also approve of those who practice them." - Romans 1:18-32 

St. Paul, History's greatest evangelist, used the entire second half of Chapter 1 in his Letter to the Roman church to make this point: When you turn your back on God and his laws, he also turns his back on you. He'll also allow all kinds of wickedness to take root and destroy your culture from within.

This happened to the Romans only 400 years or so after the letter to the Romans was written. It's happening to California right now, albeit for somewhat different reasons. Democrats are also trying to force that degeneracy on everyone else too, even going so far as to try to teach elementary school children about gay sex. 

How did we ever get to the point where a mentally deranged freak like this could be seen

anywhere outside of the circus or a mental institution?

To most people, I wouldn't need to explain why that is so detestable. To the LGBT crowd and their Democrat supporters, no explanation is likely to be possible. However, I'll try anyway.

First of all, Children are innocent. No one should be in a rush to change that fact. They also lack the mental capacity to understand 'adult situations' like romantic relationships and sex. Why do you think we tell them stories involving storks when they ask about where babies come from? This is why a lot of people these days, Christian or not, think of gays as being groomers and pedophiles. Regardless of the intentions, telling pre-pubescent kids about any kind of sex is wrong. Who would want to do that other than some child molester looking for a victim?

That is still no excuse, child molester.

Second, the other reason why gay anything is detestable is not just because God wanted people to be fruitful and multiply, which (obviously) homosexual couples can't do. It's because that kind of degeneracy makes people weak and invites attack from your civilization's enemies. Just look at what happened to Rome. They became so self-absorbed & degenerate that they didn't even care about defending their empire from barbarians anymore. As a result, that empire fell and plunged Europe into a dark age for centuries. All of this because some people refuse to do the right things...

"Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor those habitually drunk, nor verbal abusers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God. Such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God." - 1 Corinthians 6:9-11

Once again, St. Paul tells it like it is: Unrepentant sinners aren't getting into Heaven. Notice how he mentioned lots of other sins that didn't involve sex? That's because ALL sins are detestable in God's eyes.

There are many more verses in Scripture banning Slavery, Thievery and all the other sins more than Homosexual behavior. Yet, Homosexuals still get the ire of the Faithful. Why? Because they insist on trying to force us to validate/accept their sinful lifestyles. That's never going to happen.

There's also *quite* a few prohibitions on

making/bowing down to a false idol. Just sayin'...

To us, that's just as unacceptable as asking us to accept Murderers, Rapists and Thieves in our community. With all the 'Defund the Police' non-sense that Democrats are pushing nowadays, it looks like some folks actually are trying to force that on us too. That's also never going to happen. Remember what Thomas Jefferson said: Resistance to Tyranny is Obedience to God.

I doubt Jesus would want us to kill anyone, but even he recognized
the need to be armed for your own defense. See Luke 22:36-38.

"realizing the fact that law is not made for a righteous person but for those who are lawless and rebellious, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and worldly, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers, for the sexually immoral, homosexuals, slave traders, liars, perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound teaching," - 1 Timothy 1:9-10

In this passage from his 1st letter to Timothy, St. Paul again makes it clear that Lawbreakers who aren't saved will not get into Heaven. Homosexuals are mentioned, but so are many other sinners. It's true that no Human being could possibly follow all 613 commandments in the Mosaic Law. However, you should still be trying to follow it as much as possible. The New Covenant with God through Jesus existing doesn't mean that the Old Covenant went away. Besides, those rules were put in place for a reason...

And finally...

"And angels who did not keep their own domain but abandoned their proper dwelling place, these He has kept in eternal restraints under darkness for the judgment of the great day, just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities around them, since they in the same way as these angels indulged in sexual perversion and went after strange flesh, are exhibited as an example in undergoing the punishment of eternal fire." - Jude 1:6-7

Here, the writer of the Letter to Jude is comparing the Homosexuals that doomed Sodom and Gomorrah to the rebellious angels that were cast out with Satan and became Demons. He also states that these people are going to suffer along with those demons for all eternity. Since so many of them tend to be unrepentant sinners, I am forced to conclude that this will be their fate.

Amazing how people can read a text that is

very plain spoken and still try to twist its meaning...

Since I'm not God, I won't pass any judgment here. It's not my place. It's also not necessary since He's already made it quite clear that he'll be doing that when the time comes. (See Revelation 21:5-8)

However, the residents of Sodom and Gomorrah did try to rape those two angels disguised as men that God sent to get Lot and his family out of town. Considering that wickedness, I can't say that I blame God for raining fire and brimstone down on those cities. (Genesis 19:1-28)

A city full of gay rapists deserves to suffer such a horrible fate.

They deserved to be destroyed, as does any other civilization that embraces this wicked degeneracy. Hopefully, the United States won't share Sodom, Gomorrah or Imperial Rome's fate.
